About this artwork

A seated figure cradles a pale, resting infant against a deep green interior. Dark clothing, a patterned blue-green skirt, and vivid touches of red and yellow give the scene a tender yet introspective mood. The expressive forms and muted palette bring a contemplative presence to a living room, bedroom, or reading space.
