About this artwork

A richly layered Baroque still life gathers grapes, peaches, pomegranates and other fruit among leafy stems and delicate flowers. Against a shadowy green-black backdrop, a lizard, beetle and nest of eggs add unexpected detail to this dramatic composition. Its earthy palette and intricate natural forms bring depth and quiet opulence to a dining room, study or living space.
