About this artwork

A richly observed domestic scene brings two elderly figures and a shaggy dog together in a dim, rustic room. Warm coral and ochre garments stand out against deep brown shadows, while a shaft of window light and expressive gestures create an intimate, contemplative mood. A compelling choice for a traditional or eclectic interior.
