About this artwork

A richly composed pastoral scene brings together cattle, two seated figures and a watchful dog beneath mature trees and a dramatic, clouded sky. Deep greens, warm ochres and vivid red drapery give this Baroque work a grounded, contemplative presence suited to a study, library or living space.
