About this artwork

A dreamlike scene centers on a blue-clad musician playing a golden instrument, surrounded by birds, a horse, and other fantastical creatures. Deep blues mingle with vivid yellow and touches of red, creating a richly layered, expressive composition associated with Marc Chagall’s imaginative visual world.
