About this artwork

An oil painting depicting a shirtless male figure bound to a dark tree trunk against a dramatic, overcast sky. Two arrows pierce his body, one near the shoulder and another near the abdomen, with visible traces of blood. The figure looks upward with an expressive, dramatic gaze, illuminated by directional light that highlights his musculature. The background features a dim landscape with distant trees, architectural ruins, and a muted horizon under stormy clouds, creating a melancholic and theatrical atmosphere.
