About this artwork

A woman bends forward in a quiet moment of bathing, her figure rendered in softly broken strokes against a warm ochre and rose-toned setting. Degas’s Impressionist approach brings gentle movement and intimacy to this contemplative composition, suited to a serene bedroom or reading space.
