About this artwork

A quiet study in contrast, this abstract composition layers a glowing rust-red sun and amber circles above deep blue, stone-like forms. Fine black vertical lines and scattered ink-like marks bring rhythm to the softly textured ivory ground. Its earthy palette and wabi-sabi character suit a calm, considered interior.
