About this artwork

A dramatic scene of figures pressed together beneath a fractured, sloping structure as a bright streak cuts through the smoke above. Deep rust, brown, charcoal, and pale gray tones heighten the sense of turmoil. The dense composition and strong contrasts bring a somber, theatrical presence to a study, library, or gallery wall.
