About this artwork

A lively coastal scene unfolds in bold Expressionist color: fishermen work together to pull golden nets across the sand while sailboats drift through vivid blue water. Warm light, rhythmic figures, and sweeping shorelines bring a sense of energy and shared labor to the composition.
