About this artwork

A lively equestrian scene unfolds beneath loosely painted trees, with riders on horseback and spectators gathered along a pale, uneven path. Andre Hambourg’s impressionist style brings together muted mauves, smoky greys, olive greens and warm russet accents. The wide composition adds a sense of movement and atmosphere to a living room, study or gallery wall.
