About this artwork

A dramatic Baroque animal scene shows a pack of hounds closing in around a dark, bristling wolf beneath a massive tree. Pale coats and russet foliage emerge from deep woodland shadows, while a distant mountain and muted sky open the background. The animated composition and earthy palette bring a striking classical focal point to a study, library, or living space.
