About this artwork

An oil painting depicting a grand portrait of a bearded man in ornate black and gold armor, holding a baton in both hands. Standing beside him is a young page boy holding a helmet decorated with vibrant red and white plumes. The figures are set against a dark, shadowy background, illuminated by a dramatic light source that highlights the metallic sheen of the armor and the rich textures of the clothing.
