About this artwork

An oil painting depicting a group of five young children and two dogs in an interior setting. A boy wearing a red doublet and matching trousers stands centrally, resting his hand on a large mastiff dog. To his left stand two girls in light-colored dresses, and to his right, another child holds an infant wrapped in white cloth. A smaller brown and white dog sits on the patterned rug in the lower right corner. A large green curtain hangs in the background beside a table displaying a golden ewer and fruit basket, with a landscape visible in the upper right.
