About this artwork

A vivid expressionist composition by Karl Wiener, set against a turquoise field. A radiant orange sun shines above a winding chain of colorful circles, while dark stair-like forms rise at the right and a solitary figure stands below. The contrast of glowing color and loose, dark outlines gives the scene a dreamlike, contemplative mood.
