About this artwork

An oil painting depicting the upper body of a youthful figure with soft curly light brown hair, seen in a three-quarter profile facing downward. The subject wears a deep blue garment accented with an ornate, jewel-adorned golden collar and dark patterned sleeves in green and gold. Both hands are crossed delicately over the chest in a gesture of contemplation. The dark, atmospheric background contrasts with the warm illumination on the subject's face, neck, and hands, creating a classical, dramatic mood.
