About this artwork

A contemplative Baroque portrait of a bishop-saint holding a glowing, flame-wreathed heart as he looks toward a shaft of light marked “VERITAS.” Open books, a quill, and richly patterned gold-and-red vestments fill the shadowed study, creating a solemn, reflective composition suited to a library, study, or quiet reading space.
