About this artwork

A seated figure in a richly patterned dark green robe commands the center of this expressive portrait. Bold blocks of blue, ochre, turquoise, and rose-red create a vivid interior, while simplified forms and lively brushwork give the scene a poised yet intimate presence. A striking focal point for a colorful, art-filled room.
