About this artwork

A fluid black line defines a standing figure against a softly textured ivory ground, framed by bold leaf and fruit-like forms in teal, green, red, yellow, and blue. The spare composition and vivid accents bring an expressive, playful note to a living room, studio, or reading nook. Presented in the curated Henri Matisse collection.
