About this artwork

An oil painting featuring a woman in a white blouse holding a woven basket in the foreground, looking directly toward the viewer with a gentle smile. To her right, a colorful blue and yellow parrot rests on a small perch mounted to the wall. Behind her, an ornate stone architectural frame contains a recessed window where two figures are gathered, illuminated by candlelight. The dark, dramatic lighting creates high contrast between the warm-lit faces in the window and the cool tones surrounding the main figure. The background displays intricate classical stonework and sculpted architectural details, creating a rich atmosphere of depth and historical style.
