About this artwork

A monumental Baroque composition unfolds in warm ochre, umber, and muted gold. Figures move through a dramatic scene of earthly turmoil beneath a vision of figures among the clouds, while a robed elder gestures upward. Its theatrical movement and rich, painterly detail bring a sense of history and visual intensity to a traditional living room, library, or study.
