About this artwork

An oil painting depicting a youthful figure crowned with grape leaves and vines, wearing a draped white garment. The figure holds up a shallow glass filled with red wine, while resting against draped white fabric. In the foreground rests a bowl filled with various fruits, including apples, pears, and grapes, alongside a second glass filled with dark red liquid resting on a light-colored surface against a dark brown background. The chiaroscuro lighting highlights the subject's face, bare shoulder, and the textures of the fruit and glassware.
